Ultimate Blog Party 2008! Welcome To My Party!!!!

Ultimate Blog Party 2008
Hey! Glad you made it to the Castle. Oh, you're new here. Well, come on in! Take a look around.

Let me say, I've never been much of a party-er. Maybe the occaisonal birthday party. So, this is new to me. I hope you have some fun!

Grab something to eat. Would you like something to drink?

Let me take a minute to introduce myself: I am Jenn, the Queen. First and foremost, I am a Christian. I love God with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength. I seek to serve Christ daily and honor and glorify Him in all I say and do, even while changing dirty diapers.
I am 27 (28 on the 25th. Did anyone bring presents?) I live with the King and Princess Poops Alot in the Castle in a Land Far, Far Away (that is Southwest Ohio). I consider myself a Quasi-Stay-At-Home Mom (meaning I work very part time, and when I work, the Princess stays with me.). I love to scrapbook, go to yard sales, read, bargain shop, and blog. We are a quasi-green, quasi-crunchy family. I am trying to be a little more green and a little more crunchy everyday!

You want to know about the name? Sure, it came from a conversation I had with my sister. She is 25 and has a 5 1/2 month old, a two year old, and two dogs (a hubby too). We were sharing poop stories (once again) and laughing about our adventures. One of us said something about writing a book and calling it Adventures in Poop. Well, no book. But my blog got the name.

No, not every post is about poop. Although many are. (You can check out the diaper pail if you want. It is a little bit stinky, but very funny! Go on. It's over there -----> in my sidebar.) I also post about other things that interest me: Breastfeeding, babywearing, cloth diapers, ec, baby signs, saving money, stories of the Princess, and other related parenting stuff. This is Princess Poops Alot. She is 6 months old, and my inspiration for this blog. As you can tell from her name, she poops. Alot! I thought, in honor of this bloggin' party and my 50th post (WooHoo!), I would tell a new Adventures In Poop story.

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, the Princess was enjoying some play time in the living room. As often happens at the castle, the Princess had a bare bottom while she played. The Queen took a moment to move something to another room, and when she had returned, found a two foot long streak of poop coming from behind the Princess. The Princess had pooped with such force that it sprayed that far.

Knowing that such things happen in a diaper free castle, the Queen quickly wiped the royal bottom and cleaned up the royal mess. She took the dirty blanket and cloth diapers up to the royal diaper pail.

When the Queen returned, she found another streak of poop two feet behind the Princess. The Princess had struck again! This time, on the carpet!

The End

Wow! That one is really stinky! Would you mind tossing it in the Diaper Pail for me? Thanks!

Hey! If you have a poop story, drop me an e-mail at adventuresinpoop @ live . com (remember to remove the spaces.). I would love to publish your story here, or link to your blog.

Oh, before you go, remember to let me know that you stopped by. Tell me the focus of your blog, and I'll try to come visit.

I'm really glad you came to my party! Come back to the castle soon!

When I became a mom, poop became a completely acceptable dinner conversation topic. Isn't it funny the things motherhood does to you? Love your blog title!

Happy Partying!

Before I became a mom, it poop was disgusting. Now that I'm a mom, it is, "oh it's just poop!" It is amazing that something so tiny can produce so much waste.

Happy blogging and partying!

I love how as Mommies...(or Queens) poop can bring us all together.....When I brought my 1st home from the hospital, I remember my mom changing his diaper and asking if I wanted to look at the poop. As a new mom I had no idea what I was looking for (or why I was looking at it for that matter!) I guess she was just breaking me in!

LOL I agree that poop is a perfectly acceptable topic of conversation for moms, and I would have been horrified to hear such a conversation before I was a mom!

Hi there fellow cloth-diaper-er!! (My hubby thinks I'm mad that we're taking cloth around the world with us - but we do it when we go camping at home, so why not in Monoglia?)
Anyway, thanks for visiting my party. YOu got me in a corner and asked if I wash myhair with baking soda. Yes Yes Yes. I've been doing it for about a year now. No shampoo. No conditioner. I went from needing to wash every day to now only needing to every three to four days. I use a wee bit of ti-tree oil or lavender oil in a cup of water as a rinse after washing just because. Lots of my friends made the switch at the same time as me and most of us are still going. It's cheap! There are no chemical nasties! Do you need more reasons?
For the last couple of weeks I've been brushing my teeth with it too (and a bit of glycerine and peppermint oil) - at first it was a bit baking-soad-ish, but now I don't mind the taste!
Anyway, I'd better let you get back to your other guests.

ROFL! Poop does come up a lot when you are a mom. Just today my 2 year old had a poop-splosion. One that landed him right into the bathtub because I would have used 2345924587 wipes to try to clean him up! LOL
Great blog you have here and Princess is adorable!

Hehe... that's great. At least you can laugh about it, because otherwise you'd probably cry, right? :)

Hi and lovely to "meet" you.

I am a christian SAHM with 3 kids here in Northern Ireland. I love digital scrapbooking and photography, and oh blogging too!

My littlest child is nearly out of the pooping stage - just nappies at night time now, so my nappy changing days are nearly over.

I'm mist potty training with my son. This translates to him going around with a bare butt. It means many adventures in poop. Just so happens today he pooped on the futon and rolled off it . . . YEEUUCK!
*sigh*
thankfully the futon had it's washable cover on.
Party on!
